Smith & Brink has an immediate opening for an Associate with one to five years of research and writing experience to work in our Complex Business Litigation Department in our Braintree, MA office. Duties include conducting investigations, overseeing discovery, and performing research and writing in furtherance of complex RICO and fraud litigation. Judicial law clerk experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, legal research, drafting legal pleadings and opinion letters, and initiating and responding to discovery. A successful candidate will have:
– The ability to independently manage a busy case load, work under pressure, and meet deadlines;
– Willingness to accept constructive feedback; and
– Excellent time management and organizational skills.
This position includes the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and grow into a larger role within the firm for an Associate who excels at the initial responsibilities.
