Smith & Brink has an immediate opening for an experienced Law Firm Billing Manager. We are seeking an experienced, professional, motivated self-starter who preferably has at least several years of relevant experience working in a law firm billing department.
The preferred candidate will possess an excellent academic background, exceptional oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills, prior management experience, as well as excellent technical and problem solving skills. Success in this position will necessitate a dedicated work ethic to serve our shareholders and our clients.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the management of the billing department and staff, setting up new legal matters, overseeing and coordinating the preparation of prebills through collections, and the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and reports. This individual will also be responsible for AR monitoring, and monthly billing, collection activity. This position also requires knowledge and oversight of the firm’s monthly client invoicing needs, new file requests and conflict checks, accounts payable requests and internal credit card and expense monitoring. Experience with legal bill review websites such as CounselLink, Bottomline, Allegient, Legal Solutions, Tymetrix and Legal-X is required. Experience with ProLaw preferred.
